Do your mother a favore and get her and iMac and be rid of these kinds problems. # Frits: The operations that are suggested here I did too on my aunts XP machine Spybots removed some 296 items, IE had some 5 search boxes in different languages and any program or icon my aunt did not recognize was removed or uninstalled. That made her machine a lot faster. Unfortunately she is 65 years old and has no laborlaw intention to become a system administrator. So i'll be back more often. Thay same holiday I checked my mothers iMac running OS X, you guessed it: All worked fine! After reading this whole story I really can't imagine why ypu Window people think this is fun, or why even bother about these matters. Or are you all system administrators? I had a lot of fun, just because I recognize all the stupid download, search, register and deinstall operations of all the stuff that is needed to sent some mail, browse the net and share some pictures on the net, these are the things my mother does (72 years old) after a one day instruction on her Mac.
