It has good logging, autoupdates, scans most chat and file sharing program downloads, gives audible notification of AV updates and of viral infection. The only thing it doesn't do is scheduled AV scans - AVG does that but doesn't do the chat-file sharing prog download scans. # Light & Dark: Pretty much the same routine here. The only things I'd add are: - when setting up AdAware, go to the Scan Now button, and then select the 'Use custom scanning options' radio button. Then click customize, and tell the program to scan withing archives. - as mentioned, run both AdAware and Spybot, in safe mode, one right after the other. They find different things, and will often clean up after each other. |
