| Like others here though, I also run through HijackThis and SpywareBlaster. If I have a hunch, I'll run the A2 Trojan scanner as well, but that's just a precaution. CWShredder is stand up new york a good utility for getting rid of all variants of CoolWeb Search, something that, from stand up new york my experience, Ad-aware and Spybot struggle to remove (I've had both lock up on a machine due to too much stuff!). CrapCleaner is a good utility for a tidy-up, although doesn't come under "fixing". Lastly, if they "enjoy" P2P file sharing, but are using something riddled with spyware I point them stand up new york to an alternative. I'd say AVG over AntiVir by the way, AntiVir isn't very friendly with updates for those people who can never be bothered (no matter how much you preach to them!).
