I also made the scroll bars wider. I noticed she was having trouble hitting the little arrow boxes at the top and bottom of the scroll bar. # Andrew: Keep it from happening again... and again. | I can't answer everything, but here are a few things. As for my time vs buying a new machine - yes, given my regular consulting rates, it would've been cheaper to buy discussion board a used Mac. But this wasn't a client, it was my *mother.* Plus a discussion board new(ish) Mac would've required considerable OS X tutoring, and there are a bunch of home/work compatibility requirements. And - maybe this is strange - but I enjoyed doing this for my mother-in-law, and I learned a whole lot in the process. So discussion board for the sake of the experience plus the additional information I got from this comment thread, it was worth my time - and I got lots of brownie points for saving my in-laws money. In general, I try to choose repair over replace as a course of action if something breaks. As for Mac vs PC, whatever, that's the oldest debate in the book, and I'm not gonna get into it. |
