Very small, takes up less memory, cpu than Norton, McAffee, AVG, etc.. and many times it's caught dormant viruses that have been jewish podcasts laying around for years, and scanned hundreds of times by norton. Like I said, it's (mostly) free.. I've been using it since the jewish podcasts 80's without fail, but recently they've changed over to a 30-day trial mode, $35 to register and get the auto-updater. (though it still works fine forever if you update it manually) # Gina: Wow, I was offline a few hours and this discussion exploded. I can't answer everything, but here are a few jewish podcasts things. As for my time vs buying a new machine - yes, given my regular consulting rates, it would've been cheaper to buy a used Mac. But this wasn't a client, it was my *mother.* Plus a new(ish) Mac would've required considerable OS X tutoring, and there are a bunch of home/work compatibility requirements. And - maybe this is strange - but I enjoyed doing this for my mother-in-law, and I learned a whole lot in the process.
