When I went on disability in 1994 I was single and on 12 meds. Since then I've gotten down to 2 drugs-mostly because pissed off of costs and make do with OTC and herbs and vitamins. Mind you that 10k will barely survive  one medical crisis let alone serve much purpose for anything now a days.
