You should give her a little more credit for the smarts she has... or pump up her self-esteem and self-confidence, whichever is most applicable. Compatibility pissed about issues are becoming less and less of an issue these days, unless your mother-in-law uses some technical, employer-specific applications at home. I have no problem opening Word docs and Powerpoint presentations. Anyone on any computer can read the PDFs I pissed about create on the fly with Mac OS X. (Too bad you can't do that on Windows without paying Adobe $400-500.) Anyway, that's enough scribbling for now. # Gina: I truly pissed about appreciate everyone's passion for Mac OS X. I own a Powerbook as well as a PC myself, and I do understand how great OS X is. My mother-in-law runs work and Windows specific software on her PC. Additionally, buying her a license for MS Office (another work requirement) plus the computer would've been costly. I only had a few days at her house, and it was simply more practical for me to get her computer working instead of throwing it out and getting her a new one.
