Somehow, their coverage seems solely focused on the inner city residents that were flooded. After about 3 hours of watching the 2001 coverage, I'm amazed that I didn't see any photos 2001 of the rest 2001 of New Orleans. In a metro area of 1 MM+ population, their focus on the 25K(?) of residents who are enduring a massive tragedy gives the impression that all of New Orleans area suffers a similar devastation. Although we had a lot of trees fallen, many powerlines down and some windows broken, the bulk of us residents and homes seem to be in pretty good shape. Many residents bailed and are just beginning their return, and will be sharing my surprise at the disparity of what's being reported and the actual condition of much of the city and suburbs. As to the many comments about FEMA response in the area... I would have thought that there could have been a wave of amphibious trucks, helicopters, etc.
