Here in the northeast we are routinely inundated with snowstorms and stage icestorms which render us w/out power for weeks at a time during the sub-zero dead of winter. We survive w/o FEMA assistance (which if comes at all up here is sporadic at best). |

What part of 4 days late don't they understand? What part of funding the levies and other disaster projects in SE LA at only 10% of what the the US Army corps of engineers thought was necessary. What part of keeping driving drunk the Red Cross out of N.O. after the flooding because FEMA thought it would encourage people to stay? When people can't see reality, or can see it but turn it aside, like all these Bush apologisists are doing, then the don't serve freedom or any laudible political philosophy. Why do they appear here and make arguments that don't hold water any better than levies designed for cat-2/3 storms can hold up to flood surge from cat 4 storms. |
