And one hears stories of buses that weren't used - they REALLY should have been seconded. But if the authorities had insisted that people evacuated, picked them up and carried them out so to speak, wouldn't there have been a roit? An outcry against police brutality, a conspiracy theory that they were trying to relocate the poor? |

Surely there are a few who DID have the price of a bus ticket, or a train ticket, and chose to stay anyway. |
