that case, why do the states literary allow the National Guard to be used as expeditionary literary troops? If the feds don't have to take care of New Orleans, why's the Louisiana Guard in Iraq? Bring them home! California had better follow suit. If there's an earthquake we know better than to rely on such incompetents as Bush and Chertoff and Brown. Bring the Guard home now! If literary each state is on its own, to hell with our president's war of choice." Bad Jim, I think you are on to something here. Is it the Governor of Montana who needed his guardsmen for fighting forest fires? And they are completely under his jurisdiction? So why can't he just order them home? Why can the President interfere with the states and order their own troops to Iraq, but somehow it is unimaginable that he would take it upon himself to order the same troops into Lousiana?
