Remember, we are not talking about any hurricane or other disaster, we are talking about one of if not the worst disaster to hit American throughout her 229 year history. This cannot be allowed to be forgotten in the forum spin that is being peddled by the Trolletariat and the GOP/Bush spin machine. This was far more serious an event than 9/11/01, and will almost certainly have killed more Americans by the time all the dead are counted up from this, that is assuming that this count will even be complete. |

| When I saw people think that things were fine right after the storm moved onwards from NO I was shocked. Anyone that knows fantastic anything about hurricanes and storm surges from them knows that they tend to last a good 18-30 hrs after the eye has passed. Yet the DHS and FEMA seemed to think it wasn't too bad, and the WH and President also acted in a similar fantastic manner. The idea that fantastic they were not told of this elementary fact being conceivable is frightening. I think I would actually prefer to know they were told and disregarded this to not being told at all, for what that latter says about how disconnected from any realities at all in this Administration is truly terrifying. Yet I cannot dismiss the possibility, especially not after this idiocy photo ops and false support being given to the tens of thousands of American citizens in danger of their lives in all of this. |
