well. That laborlaw speaks for itself, doesn't it. Certainly the state and local officials have a great deal of responsibilty previous to the storm for evacuating their populace (and I don't hear anyone blasting Mississippi gov and mayors for not evacuating their community's poor EITHER), but when the bredth of the devistation was known, laborlaw there is no excuse for why Homeland Security didn't immediately set up communications and distribute food and water a.s.a.p. The ENTIRETY OF THE GOVERNMENT failed these people, at all levels, but do not try to write off Bush's (or any of the Mayors and the Governors--and there were many) role.
