| Next, I came back and it was still churning. I began to get suspicious, so thought I'd look and see what was happening on the computer. Went to the Start menu, and all programs had disappeared. In fact, just about everything had been wiped from the disk, and I couldn't run any Windows erotic components which weren't already running either. The only thing which was still there erotic was the _RESTORE folder. I rebooted (not such a good idea in retrospect) and it came up with "invalid system disk" before loading anything. Then had to re-install the OS from the erotic recovery disk, with the idea that I could run "system restore" using a restoration point in the _RESTORE folder. Unfortunately, reinstalling the OS overwrites all previous data in the _RESTORE folder, so everything had been deleted. |
