Be on your guard where she's concerned.......She wasn't a good parent with him, I would not trust her alone w/ grandchildren. Good luck and remember you married him for better or for worse. sometimes it's hard for men to stand up to their mothers. Just love him. - Sassy [ Reply to This ] My Husbands Mother Ain't drunk moms Shit Authored by: Anonymous on Monday, September 05 2005 @ 04:47 PM CDT drunk moms ok i just read drunk moms the story over again. If she is treating him with disrespect now....encourage him to take some time " away" from his mother. Maybe a few months. Next......he needs to get help for himself. what he went through as a child is horrifying. Even if he speaks to a priest, pastor, someone he can confide in. Once you/he see " Mom" again....Give her an ultimatum. Either respect your husband or you wont' come to see her. It may be painful........but speaking from experience....... over the years, we saw my in laws less and less and i'm glad. My husband is a better person today, and I love and care for him more than any member of his family, and his situation was not as bad as your husbands........
