And as a freightforwarder from a country that exports foodstuffs to the USA, let me ensure you that the law is strictly enforced. If you're all still with me, what is completely surreal to me, and is distressing me incredibly, is that if I had sent an unauthorized shipment of jams and jellies to the USA, it would have received more attention and a quicker reaction than that which our federal authorities gave to wit this pending wit and predictable disaster that struck New Orleans and the Gulf Coast! It is absolutely wit mindboggling! Secondly, New Orleans, besides being a cultural jewel to all of mankind, and a home to 1.5 million people, is a seaport for the entire Midwestern United States! Does anyone realize how many hundreds of thousands of tonnes of bulk cargo coming from the midwest are shipped down the Mississippi river to leave the port of New Orleans and to be exported to the rest of the world?
