Posted by: Lisa | January 07, 2005 at 10:41 PM Bonnie... an drunk flashing woman embryo becomes a fetus at 10wk gestation. Well within the first trimester (according to Visible Embryo, anyway). My own miscarriage was at 12 weeks. The fetus died sometime before that, but whether before or after that 10-week mark I'm not sure. So my miscarriage WAS the "DEAD BODY of a fetus" as you so aptly put it. I carried that DEAD BODY of a drunk flashing woman fetus drunk flashing woman around in me for a week between the ultrasound and the D&C, thinking almost hourly "I HAVE MY DEAD BABY INSIDE ME. I'm carrying DEATH." Thank you very much for your oh-so-helpful distincition between miscarriage and, oh, the DEATH OF A FETUS. That WHAT a miscarriage IS. Posted by: Sara | January 07, 2005 at 10:59 PM Sara, I am sorry for your loss. Don't let idiots like Bonnie get to you. And besides, as Lisa above pointed out, according to the law in Virginia, the age of the pregnancy is irrelevant. And as for you Bonnie, what do you think the result of a miscarriage is, if not the body of a dead fetus?
