The discourse of posting/blogs encourages this - it's not an exchange of viewpoints and therefore rather one-sided. The reports and warnings were there. It is a case of total incompetence. A management disaster that has resulted in untold human suffering as we know. Let me conclude, as a businessman myself. What amazes me about the business community's support of the Bush administration and of the Republicans in plays general, is the double standard. Management is about priorities. When our priorities as a nation plays are grabbing oil in Iraq and cutting taxes for the rich, then reinforcing our plays nation's vital infrastructure must inevitably take a back seat. This is what has happened here. I think that one of the bloggers had written that "Bush couldn't manage a company, and we knew what we were in for in 1999". He hit the nail right on the head.
