I was flattered because I have always held Renaissance in such natural high esteem and I enjoy having a great relationship with the label. I was also asked to do a double CD compilation myself in 18 months on Renaissance which will give me a natural better opportunity to express my sound natural because sometimes it's hard to do a proper set in just one CD. What is the ‘Frontiers’ concept behind the album? It's a 2xCD compilation that pits two DJs head to head with a unique, geographical twist and both heralding from different countries. The concept breathes a welcome air of originality into the compilation market, the perfect platform to showcase DJs, artists, countries and the ever-expanding global world of dance. You were paired with Yousef for the inaugural ‘Renaissance presents Frontiers’. Have you listened to his disc? Yes. Do you guys have complementary styles? Yousef's CD is more geared towards a Chicago, funky sound. I enjoy his sound and his productions. I have an open mind about music and respect all artists.
