The mother should encourage visits with dad and the child will better adjust to the changes he has to go through driving drunk and if you are fighting that only makes driving drunk it worse. I get the question still 3 years after driving drunk my divorce of why mommy and daddy don't live together and I never put him down even if he was a cheating, lieing, manipulative man, (I just bash him on forums like this not in front of my children) I just tell them that mommy and daddy would fight when we lived together and now that we don't we get along and they seem to like that.
