People entering the Courthouse must now go hiv/aids through the front doors and then through a metal detector. The side doors used to be open hiv/aids to the public, but those are now locked and open only to Courthouse personnel with special key cards. The system sat idle for more than a year, because there wasn't enough money or personnel to run it. The Clerk of Court says that it may be an inconvenience for some, but he has a box full of knives and other items taken from courthouse visitors, to prove that the system is necessary. | Commissioners voted to have the Department of Social Services take over the county's adult day care and to go ahead and apply for the grant money to run it. Mountain Projects will try to secure around $60,000 in federal funding. It will be taking iran leader over home repair assistance. The Community Alternative Program funding, federal money that can keep non-profits in the iran leader black, is still up in the air. Commissioners will discuss the Council on Aging's future at their next meeting. There's a new traffic pattern around pack place and the city hall area and it's taking drivers some time to get used to. You used to be able to drive straight through to get to Charlotte street, but not anymore and it's all pretty confusing for drivers. The diagonal one-way part of Patton Avenue that runs from Market to College Street is now permanently closed. |
