They really butchered the copy on this one. The Jessica's Law connection would be irrelevant in this story; had FOX not cut this out of their version, you'd have known: Police said Schweikert, who resigned from her job at E.B. Morse Elementary School on Friday, had been an employee of the school district for nine years and had no criminal history newyork post or prior newyork post complaints against her. With no priors and no record to consult, no version of "Jessica's Law" would have prevented what happened in SC. The only thing Jessica's law would do is prevent newyork post repeat offenders from raping/molesting assuming they're caught and convicted after the first time. While i like it as a law, it won't prevent first time rapists- or trusted adults like teachers, clergy or that cop who was recently caught in the Laguna Beach sting- from doing the unthinkable.
