| I adopted the policy of "tell if asked"...if those friends wanted to know what happened I would try to give them a simple and unemotional explanation. eve But under no circumstances would I take a verbal hit out on my ex-friend. Not because I am a better person...I am not...but because it would make me look good and make her look stupid. I don't know that this makes me a "winner" so to speak but it made me more comfortable and shut eve the door on a lot of emotional garbage. I know an in-law situation is much different eve and more complicated, but kudos to you on sticking with your policy.
