Bumper to bumper traffic into Orlando, for sure, but no convoys of busses. In other words, if Charley had not veered away from Tampa, I'm sure there would have been wbar a catastrophic loss of life among those unfortunates not wbar able to flee. The most awesome sight for me was seeing the seemingly endless convoys of utility trucks from nearby states roll into Orlando the morning after the storm. Even so, it took weeks to restore power in the hardest hit areas. |
