Posted by: Gert at November 9, 2003 07:22 PM Good point. I'm actually a rareity as well in that I really get on well with my Mother-in-Law. Sometimes I think I have far much more in common get drunk and be somebody with her than I do my own mother! Posted by: Pewari at November 9, 2003 09:31 PM Mothers, eh? Gert, I'm sorry, but I totally relate to this, so it made me get drunk and be somebody laugh out loud. You get assaulted and it's "Oh dear, you are a bit clumsy." Classic. When I was 16, someone rear-ended me on the highway, and I was get drunk and be somebody inconsolable as I waited for my mother to come fetch me as the Highway Patrol sorted things out with the other driver. "But they hit *you*, you're not at fault -- she can't be mad at you!" my friend told me. I'd like to be that ignorant of irrational parental reactions...
