1) You're absolutely correct that there were failings at all levels: local, state and federal. These failures go back a while and cut across party lines. 2) The implication of your posts, though I don't believe you stated this outright, is that the spread of these failures means that everyone is equally, or roughly equally, culpable. I don't know if this old and mature women is your actual position but regardless, it's flat-out false. Yes, mistakes were made at a lot of different times and in a lot of different old and mature women places; however, the primary blame old and mature women rests at the national level with the Bush Administration. That's not BDS, that's simple fact. [One thing you could do (although again, probably not in this thread) is to articulate to what measure you hold the various players in this fiasco culpable for the death and destruction unfolding in New Orleans.
