This idea has been around for awhile and has been mentioned by Marcus Aurelius and in the Christian "Serenity Prayer," and it is that rather than worrying about things, you should determine whether or not you can do anything about it. If you can, then you can feel good for taking action, and if you can't, then feeling bad will not solve the problem. Marcus Aurelius and the Christians put the idea much more eloquently, but I want to move on to the topic at hand. |
